We’re pleased to announce our esteemed panelists for the discussion:

Dr. Abhinav Mathur is the Chief of Strategy and Technology of Si2i Mobility a USD 2 Billion group focused in the area of Mobility including Devices, Retail and Mobile Value Added Services, additionally he is the Chief Executive Officer of SPICE Labs which develops mobile applications for the global app stores and has recorded close to 50 Million applications downloads. Dr. Mathur has an experience of 20 years and has been involved in several startups while he was the leading the technology team of Lotus Interworks a Global Internet and Telecom Incubator. Prior to which he headed a team developing the entire suite of GSM and Intelligent Networks products in C-DOT and oversaw the installation of these in the Indian Network. He has a PhD from IIT Delhi, an MBA from IIM Lucknow and graduated from NSIT with a B.E. in Computer Sciences.


Ashay Padwal is the Co-founder at Vserv and spearheads the technology and product development function. An expert in open source technologies, Ashay, in his career spanning over a decade has been instrumental in building and deploying products in the internet and wireless space at enterprises such as Yahoo! and People Infocom (Mauj).

 

Dev Khare is at Lightspeed Venture Partners in New Delhi and invests in Internet, mobile and software companies. He has served on the boards of, among others, Slideshare (acquired by LinkedIn), Appia (mobile app store) and Aha Mobile (acquired by Harman), as part of venture fund Venrock in Silicon Valley. Dev co-founded Covigo, a mobile application platform company, which was acquired by Symbol Technologies (now part of Motorola) in 2003. Dev has an MBA from Harvard Business School and tweets frequently @dkhare.

Jonathan Bill is the Head of Data and Internet Services for Vodafone in India. His remit is to lead India’s data strategy, approach and commercialization. Since his arrival, Vodafone has launched 3G and has grown its mobile internet user base substantially. Prior to joining Vodafone Essar Ltd. Earlier this yea, Jonathan was head of Emerging Markets for the Vodafone group running data and internet operations for emerging markets including seven markets in Africa, Egypt and Central Europe. Before working at Vodafone group, Jonathan has held several key posts outside of Vodafone including Commercial Director for Real Media, an online advertising business and Director of Business Development for EMEA at Reuters Media.


Rajiv Kumar, an IIT alumnus who is recognized as a revolutionary figure in the digital mediaspace, is the founder of India’s largest mobile social networking app, RockeTalk, having over 16 million users, popular for its unique and interactive rich multimedia communication experience. Rocketalk is driven by audio and video content, where users create and join interest groups, share content, chat and discuss using Mobile Internet. RockeTalk differentiate itself by creating customized engagement solutions, branded social programming and multimedia activities. Prior to RockeTalk, Rajiv founded Widcomm in 1999. Widcomm was an acknowledged technology and market leader in Bluetooth solutions. Widcomm was later on acquired by Broadcom. At Widcomm, Rajiv was the driving force behind the technology, product strategy and the market domination in the Bluetooth space.
