Digital marketing company, Mobikon Asia, has closed a Series-A round of investment totaling US$ 1.7 Million. The funding round was led by Singapore-based Jungle Ventures supported by regional angel investor Ravi Mantha, Member of the Board of Trustees at The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and a few others. According to founder and CEO Samir Khadepaun, the company intends to use the money raised to increase sales and business development activities. Samir Khadepaun and Salil Khamkar founded the company in 2009. The company now has a team of about 30 people in India and Singapore.Mobikon offers cloud-based digital marketing and customer engagement platforms for hospitality and retail industries. The company says that its products help companies in collecting consumer data and engaging with customers via mobile and web channels. Mobikon’s KONEKT is an integrated suite of digital marketing, analytics and customer engagement applications, which it claims is used by over 100 customers in hospitality and retail sectors in India and other regions in South East Asia, Africa and Australia. Its clients include Spaghetti Kitchen, Copper Chimney, Keys Hotel, Radisson Pune, Central Park Hotel, among others. The company is headquartered in Singapore with offices in Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Surat in India.
