Mobile ad network InMobi has entered into an exclusive mobile ad sales deal with Cricbuzz.com, a leading cricket internet property, for bringing mobile ads to consumers on Cricbuzz’s mobile site and applications. With the partnership, InMobi will have exclusive rights to monetize Cricbuzz’s mobile properties across all mobile devices in India. Which means advertisers who want to advertise on Cricbuzz's mobile platform will now buy inventory from InMobi. Cricbuzz, founded in 2004, is an interactive portal with live commentary, scores, graphs, chat, and a forum. The company claims that Cricbuzz attracts over 17 million unique users on its web and mobile properties, collectively. Cricbuzz's mobile properties includes -- its mobile site (m.cricbuzz.com), Cricbuzz SMS app, an iOS app, an Android app, a Windows Phone app, Symbian app, Java app, and a BlackBerry app. With the partnership, InMobi will get to monetize all of the above mobile internet properties of Cricbuzz. Earlier InMobi had inked a similar mobile ad sales partnership in Africa, with digital sports media group, Perform, for its football news website,Goal.com. InMobi recently shifted back its focus on India and this seems like the first exclusive deal in the Indian market after the shift. InMobi, provides end to end solutions for mobile advertising including rich media ad creation, distribution, tracking and optimization. The company claims to have a reach of 578 million users in over 165 countries, and more than 93.5 billion mobile ad impressions monthly.
