Opera Software, the browser company, which brings out its State of the Mobile Web (SMW) report tracking mobile browsing trends on the basis of Opera Mini (its mobile browser) usage, has reported that India is now the largest Opera Mini country, in terms of unique users per month. However, it did not reveal number of Opera Mini users in India. India overtook Indonesia last year in June to become the second highest ranking country to use Opera Mini. Opera Mini offers a desktop-like web experience on mobile devices. Opera Mini compresses the webpage by 90% which in turn saves data costs on handheld devices. Apart from that, it also offers features such as Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, password manager and social media integration.
