Online travel booking site Cleartrip has launched Quickeys, a quick hotel booking application that offers last minute hotel deals. The service offers rooms available only for the same day or the next day of booking. They can be booked as late as 11pm for check-in on the same day. There is no restriction on the length of stay, and the customer can use a discount code or other offers made available on the site. Also, the customer gets a refund as per the hotel's cancellation policy. Though the point to be noted is that most hotels do not refund money for rooms booked as late as 11pm or even a couple of hours before the check-in time. All the rooms are available at a discount of 30% on the BAR (Best Available Rate). Hotels have been selected from across 50 cities; and the company says that more hotels will be added in time. The range of hotels offered varies from unrated to 5 star deluxe. Quickeys can be accessed through the web as well as through mobile phones. Cleartrip also launched a one click booking express in May this year called Expressway; where users can save their payment card details thus doing away with the need to enter it over and over again. Cleartrip was launched in 2006 by Stuart Crighton and Hrush Bhatt. Major investors in the company include Sherpalo Ventures, Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers, DAG Ventures, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Concur Technologies.
