ACL Mobile, a mobile technology company, has launched a human assisted recruitment platform on mobile devices called ‘Naukri Bazaar’. The website is still in beta but is accessible at at

Note that CanvasM, another VAS company, deployed similar service for job seekers – Saras Rozgar – on the Tata Docomo network, allowing job seekers to apply for a job through their mobile handsets by dialing a short code 541410 using their Tata Docomo number.

ACL Wireless has a long code number for Naukri Bazaar: job seekers can dial Naukri Bazaar’s call center at 1860-180-6767 to create and register their profiles using their mobile number. While the site seems easier to use with ability to register with just a call, when we tried to register with an email id and password, we couldn’t go beyond the registration page even though we had received the activation code on our mobile phone.  The company claims that job seekers can leverage on employers’ community, however we were not able to verify as to how one could directly get in touch with employers.

For the employers, it provides ability to search their prospective candidates to the employers via call feature or the web portal. The company claims that employers can have access to more than 1500 categories of job seekers in organized and unorganized sectors.

The website also claims to have features such as contextual match making engine for job seekers to find jobs available in their respective areas. When we searched for various job titles like journalists, content developers, among others in Mumbai location, the website didn’t offer any search results. We suspect it is because of the beta nature of the website and the company hasn’t populated the portal with jobs yet.

The Need?

While there are numerous job listing sites like,, there’s nothing new that offers, and we are quite skeptical about the scalability of such call center based job services. Furthermore, we didn’t find any integration with social networking sites like which integrates Facebook as a platform to offer jobs.
