We’re reporting the TTML Conference call live. Our coverage of the results here. There’s a presentation for the quarter here.

1645 hrs: Growth will come from data services where the customer will expect the service provider to take on a managed services mandate. Success in data services, both in data and enterprise. We brought all our services under the tata docomo brand. Retail is important for our growth story. We have a very strong offering in data. Data+VAS is a healthy 30+%. One of the calls that we took last year, it was important for us to consolidate our brands into a single brand, from Tata Walky, Tata Indicom. We made sure our brand message was articulated in the best possible way to our audience. The brand that we now take to the market is Tata Docomo. We’re focusing on access content and solutions. The customer is looking for a lot more than just voice, and content and solutions piece are important for our future growth.

1649 hrs: The Tata Indicom stores were initially set to be service points, but starting August-September last year, we started to rebrand the stores, to enable the customers to experience the service. We’ve tried to use the customer to come in and experience the service, allowing them to use it as an experience center. We have a number of stores across the country, and the work around repurposing the stores will continue.

1651 hrs: We have gone from 10 towns to 29 towns for High Speed Internet Access towns.

3g sites have increased from 1492 to 1645 sites. That investment will continue in the future as well.

Our communication will be much more granular.

1652 hrs: We continue to make investments in fibre because backhaul will be needed as data grows

1653 hrs: TTML financial results being discussed. Our coverage here.

1702 hrs: our experience on 3G is not very different from other operators. The uptake is not to the extent that we expected. There are multiple factors – one is the low penetration of devices, the second is the availability of services, because the incremental value between 2G and 3G isn’t there. I don’t think the customer is convinced yet.

1705 hrs: No response to our question on number of data card subscribers and 3G subscribers

1707 hrs: difficult to predict which way tariffs are going to go. Spectrum pricing hasn’t been finalized, so cannot comment on it.

1713 hrs: we weren’t quite able to catch the ARPU and MoU numbers. If you did, do let us know.

1717 hrs: the reserve price is not sustainable for the kind of spectrum that we have. issues have been around availability and pricing.
