Reliance Home Video & Games Partners With Namco Bandai To Distribute Movie Based Games

Reliance ADAG owned, Reliance Home Video and Games  has partnered with Japanese game developer - Namco Bandai to distribute and promote their movie based games in India.  Namco Bandai is a distribution, marketing and sales company for interactive content video game consoles, iOS, mobile and online, and claims to operate in 50 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Australasia, and South East Asia among others. The first game to be launched with this association will be Madagascar 3 – Europe’s Most Wanted. The game will launch around the release of the movie in India, and will be available on both, PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming platforms. Madagascar 3 – Europe’s Most Wanted will retail at Rs. 2799 for PS3 and Xbox and will be available at bookstores like Landmark, Crossword, etc. and e-commerce portals like Flipkart, etc. Reliance Home Video claims to be the exclusive licensee to Warner Bros, Paramount Studios, Universal Studios and Dreamworks for all their new and catalogue films. Previously, Reliance Home Video & Games has launched movies like Inception, the Harry Potter franchise, Transformers franchise, The Godfather Trilogy and Shrek 4 & Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 among others on Blu-rayTM, DVD and VCD formats. The company has released Hindi movies such as Don 2, Bodyguard, Dabangg, Singham, 3 Idiots, Robot, Haunted 3D, Double Dhamaal on home video. Previously, Reliance Entertainment had merged the toys and games business of Zapak Games with Reliance Home Video as a part of the company’s effort to reorganize operations for more synergy.
