Travel search engine,, has announced the appointment of Abhishek Sharma as Vice President, Operations & Product Platform. He would be responsible for driving the company’s operations, product platform and content strategy as a part of its management team.

Prior to joining, Abhishek Sharma was the Co-Founder and Head of India Operations of Tenmarks Education Inc, Co-Founder and CEO of QSquare Technologies Pvt Ltd, a software and usability quality testing venture and the Head of Quality of XChanging’s Indian operations.

 Launched in 2007, iXigo claims that it consolidates search results from 100+ airlines, hotels, trains, bus booking sites & online travel portals. VC Fund SAIF Partners and NASDAQ listed Online Travel Agent (OTA) MakeMyTrip holds majority stake of 76.6% for $18.5 million in iXiGO. Earlier this year, launched full-featured travel app for Android phones and a search platform for Facebook & Twitter that understands and responds to flight searches made in natural language by users of social media platforms. iXiGO inked a deal to power the flight and hotel search on the website of Ibrahim Nasir International Airport (INIA), Malé, Maldives.


Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that operates its telecom services under the MTS brand has announced the appointment of Radhakrishnan KV as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Kerala Circle, reports The Economic Times. He will be reporting directly to Cheenu Seshadri, Chief Operating Officer, South & West Regions – MTS India. Radhakrishnan KV will be responsible the business growth for the company in the circle.

SSTL has recently re-structured their management to enable faster decision making and the hire is just a step towards it. We were not able to verify Radhakrishnan KV’s previous work experience.

Sistema Shyam TeleServices, a joint venture between Russia’s Sistema and Shyam Group of India, has filed a petition  in the Supreme Court seeking re-examination of the verdict where SC canceled their 2G licence that were allotted in 2008 during the tenure of former Telecom Minister A Raja.
