Industry Moves: Flipkart; Mindshare

Flipkart has appointed Aparna Ballakur as its Chief People Officer (CPO). Aparna Ballakur will lead the Human Resources function at Flipkart. She will be a part of the Executive Team and will contribute to the overall management of the business. Prior to joining Flipkart, Aparna was Vice-President of Human Resources at Yahoo! India and has also held the post of Director, Human Resources for India and China, at Adobe Systems. She has also served at organizations like Netscout Systems, McAfee Software and Sasken Communication Technologies. Flipkart.com, e-commerce brand for physical goods, started with books in 2007, and entered the consumer electronics category. As of today, Flipkart's portfolio spreads across 12 categories - from books to music, mobiles, computers, cameras, home & kitchen appliances, TV & home theatre systems, personal and healthcare products, and stationery items and perfumes. Flipkart also recently launched Flyte, the digital music store. ***** Ashok Lalla has put in his papers at Mindshare as Leader - Digital, South Asia, reports Exchange4media. His last day with the company will be on May 31, 2012. He had joined Mindshare in November 2011 and will be quitting after six months with the agency. Ashok Lalla who is also the author and curator of 'The Future Of Digital For Brands', has served as the president - digital at Euro RSCG, prior to joining Mindshare. Prior to that, he was Director of Internet Marketing at Taj Hotels, where he led the worldwide digital strategy and e-commerce for the hotel chain, for nine years. It is unclear…
