Car rental company, Carzonrent India Pvt Ltd , which operates Radio Taxi services under the name Easy Cabs, has announced the acquisition of online car rental service aggregator, QCABS. The exact terms of the deal and financial details have not been disclosed. Carzonrent said that it will be working on enhanced technology platforms post the acquisition to make a significant retail foray, and will be working to create customer friendly and e-commerce efficient platforms. The company also informs that the QCabs team will now work with Carzonrent, to develop new product offerings. At the time of writing this post, Qcabs.com redirects to Carzonrent.com. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Gurgaon, Qcabs is an online car rental aggregator service, working with cab operators from the unorganized sector. With Qcabs, one could book cabs from Delhi NCR to tourist spots, hill stations, weekend getaways and other destinations. Qcabs also provides cabs for airport/railway pick and drop. Upon request, Qcabs also offered women chauffeurs for women travelers. The portal was extensively used by travel agents from Mumbai and other metros for multi-day travel schedules. Founded in 2000, Carzonrent provides chauffer-driven cars, self-driven cars, limousine service, and operates lease service and EasyCabs. The company operates across 13 cities and provides services at four airports. More recently, Easycabs partnered with the travel portal Cleartrip to offer a cab booking service for Cleartrip customers.
