Jump Games, the mobile gaming subsidiary of the Reliance Entertainment group has appointed Chaitanya Prabhu as Business Head – India, effective March 1, 2012. He will be responsible for building monetization models around gaming content.

Before this appointment, Chaitanya worked at Nokia where he was responsible for setting up Ovi Music Unlimited service in the country. He was also in charge of the company’s developer relations and helped Nokia to build monetization models for publishers/ developers for Nokia store. 

Before Nokia, Chaitanya Prabhu also served as Chief Manager – New Media, Reliance Retail; Manager – New Media, Universal Music Group; and has worked in organizations like EMI Music, and Sony Music Entertainment in various capacities.

Online travel meta search engine iXiGO.com has appointed Ernesto Cohnen as Vice President, Products. In this role, Ernesto Cohnen will be responsible for managing product development of iXiGO’s travel search, trip planning & its mobile products. in addition, he will also be joining iXiGO’s leadership team consisting of Nitin Gurha, Vice President – Travel Partnerships and Krishna Iyer, Vice President – Media Partnerships to formulate the company’s growth.

Before iXiGO, Ernesto worked at Amadeus IT Group SA (Spain), where he worked as a software architect for the past 5 years and managed various projects for the company, including the transition from legacy systems to open-source and mobile platforms. He was also actively involved in CSR programs at Amadeus for coordinating and launching ‘The Small Hotels Distribution Project’. Prior to that, he worked in organizations like Capgemini and Pragsis.

In August 2011, VC Fund SAIF Partners and Online Travel Agent (OTA) MakeMyTrip had acquired a majority stake of 76.6% in iXiGO for a total cash consideration of $18.5 million, following which 56.7% of the company was held by SAIF Partners, and 19.9% was held by MakeMyTrip.

Punitha Arumugam, Group CEO, Madison Media has put in her papers and is reportedly joining Google, as head of the agency and advertiser relations division, according to afaqs. Google has however not confirmed the development. According to the report, she joined Madison in 1999 as Media Services Director, and was later promoted as Chief Operation Officer, West in 2001, and went on to become the CEO at the agency.
