CarveNiche, an online education service provider has received a seed funding of $0.2 million from Mumbai Angels, reports TechCircle. The organization will use the funding for expanding its sales team, R&D, product expansion and geographic expansion. The company, currently based in Bangalore, is likely to expand its operations in North India with the Delhi-NCR market and later on to Kolkata and the North-East. This is Mumbai Angel's second investment in the education space this year, the first being eDream Edusoft where it invested $1 million in January. CarveNiche offers educational content and services for K-12, Higher Education, Corporate, Government, Publishing Houses and Training Institutes. The company claims to have 1100 hours of content for classes VI-X and has tie-ups with 11 schools in India.
