Jagran Prakashan has reported financial results for the quarter ended 31st December 2011 with total income of Rs 324.03 crore, a 13.29% increase over Q3-FY11′s income of Rs 286.03 crore. The company’s net profit after tax was at Rs 41.30 crore, a decrease compared to profits of Rs 52.64 crore that it reported in the same quarter, last year. According to a release from the company its operating profits went down by 26.27% YoY from Rs 89.75 crore to Rs 85.12 crore. Highlights: - Digital Revenues excluding advertisement revenues was at Rs 2.32 crore up 15.55% YoY from Rs 2 crore. On the digital side, Jagran has a tie-up with Yahoo India for Jagran.com, it also offers news portals Jagranjosh.com and Jagranpost.com, Online Classifieds business Khojle.in, reverse auction portal Jeetle.com, and also a Mobile Value Added services company called J9 Ventures, through short code 57272. It also offers iPhone and Android apps for its news properties. In addition to this, it also owns Midday.com, which has recently started celebrity management business. According to the company, the number of unique users (based on Google AdPlanner data) across all online properties of the group reached 6.71 million as of December 2011. - Advertisement revenues was at Rs 223.53 crore, up 14.91% from Rs 194.52 crore. - Circulation revenues was at Rs 62.28 crore, up 9.28% from Rs 57 crore.
