UTV Interactive, the digital arm of the UTV Group, has launched a new devotional service called 'Divya Kathayein' which allows users to listen to mythological stories on their mobile phones, reports PTI (via The Hindu BusinessLine). The service will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya and Bengali, and will offer stories revolving around Ramayan and various other deities such as Rama, Krishna, Shanidev, Ganesha, Durga, Vishnu, Shiva and Shirdi Sai Baba. The company is reportedly kickstarting the service with five to six stories and will be refreshing the stories every fortnight, allowing access to 10-12 stories every month. The service appears to be a subscription based dial-in service. It is priced at Rs 30 per month and will be initially available to Reliance subscribers, however the company is apparently in discussion with various other mobile operators for the service. Other services: In 2009, the company had launched an audio service called Audio Cinema which provided abridged versions of Indian films on audio, through a voice portal accessible from mobile phones and in March 2011, it launched a celebrity voice chat service called Talk2Me.
