IRCTC Reports 13.08M Transactions For November 2011

Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), which manages the online rail ticketing for the Indian Railways, reported around 13.08 Million transactions for the month of November, of which almost 75.43% were successful, but a failure rate of almost 25% is rather high. Please note that we couldn’t find any information for IRCTC for the month of October, so the data below is a comparison of November with September this year. Over the period, the number of successful transactions showed a marginal decline of 2.7%

Payment Gateway Specific Information:

SBI Debit Card: Accounted for 12.53% of total transactions, and 10.42% of total successful transactions

ICICI Payment Gateway: Accounted for 9.68% of total transactions, and 9.79% of total successful transactions

Citibank: 5.27% of total transactions, 4.60% of total successful transactions, and a 65.80% success rate

HDFC: 6.34% of total transactions, 5.97% of total successful transactions, and a 71.02% success rate

Itz Cash Card: 4.95% of total transactions, 5.83% of total successful transactions, and a 88.79% success rate.
I Cash Card: 3.05 % of total transactions, 3.75% of total successful transactions, and a 92.93 % success rate.
Oxicash: 0.12% of total transactions, 0.11% of total successful transactions, and a 71.88 % success rate.
