Mobile Learning Company Deltecs Raises Funding From KAN

Deltecs Infotech, a mobile learning solutions company, has raised funding from Kutchi Angel Network, a network comprising of business houses Anchor Group, Navneet Group and Gala Group, which intends to support entrepreneurs from the Kutch region in Gujarat, reports VC Circle. The exact details of the funding have not been disclosed, however, according to the report, KAN will invest an amount ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 5 crore in start-ups.

Deltecs, the same company which was among the finalists of the India leg of Qualcomm Ventures QPrize business plan competition for 2010, focuses on mobile learning and creates customized solutions according to the needs of a training program. Their mobile application DRONA is a full-featured mobile Learning Management System suite allows large companies to provide training across extended teams. Their other app the Drona VCast pushes educational video content to Blackberry devices.

It has also launched BizPunditz, a series of video clips of 3-6 minutes focusing on soft skills training for corporates, available on the web and for Blackberry devices. It has roped in communication consultant Anita Bhogle and cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle for the program.
