YourNextLeap.com, a web-based career recommendation engine, has now pivoted to a job site, allowing users to build profiles, take aptitude tests and search for jobs. At the time of writing this post, the site also offered an assessment tool, suggesting jobs based on an assessment of the user's activities, interests and strengths. The university and college tools seems to have been removed. We've seen a lot of web ventures pivot to a related or at times, a completely new model - Previously Minglebox.com, which was built as an online alternative to a “college hangout” featuring college events pivoted to a “College, Education and Career” site. It would be interesting to see how YourNextLeap would differentiate itself from other job portals, and whether it would also offer premium services, and carrer counselling. HT Media, which operates the job site, Shine.com also claims to offer tools that offer better matching for candidates but that's not done much in terms of keeping them ahead of their competitors. We've requested Mohit Gundecha, the CEO of YourNextLeap for an interaction and will update this post as we hear from him. YourNextLeap was founded in October 2010 by Suruchi Wagh, while Mohit Gundecha, formerly the Head of India Operations for mig33, joined the company as Co-founder and CEO. Nickhil Jakatdar, CEO of VuClip and Alok Kejriwal, CEO of Games2Win are on the Advisory board of the Company.
