9X Tashan, a Punjabi channel from 9X Media Group provider has inked a deal with Zenga TV, a mobile TV service to distribute the channel on mobile and tablet devices through Zenga's mobile TV service. Users will not be charged any content fee or subscription charges for watching the channel, which can be accessed using a WiFi, GPRS or a 3G connection by pointing the device's web browser to tv.zengatv.com. Presently, Zenga TV services are accessible across all major mobile networks including Idea, Vodafone, Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, MTNL, Reliance, Docomo. 9X Tashan is a Punjabi channel that focuses on Food, Culture, Music, Costumes and others. It offers Punjabi music across various genres such as Pop, Romance, Underground, Action, Folk among others interspersed with short episodes of characters created in 3D animation, similar to 9X Group's Hindi music channel 9XM. Zenga offers various free channels across 2G and 3G connections like Headlines Today, Aaj Tak, CNN-IBN, Colors, MTV, Sahara Filmy and others. It also offers movies such as Johnny Gaddar, Paa, Family, Go, 36 China Town and others along with reality shows like MTV Roadies, MTV Splitsvilla, BigBoss and Khatron Ke Khilaadi for a subscription fee of Rs 10 per 10 days. Other products include CrickZenga - a free service that offers realtime coverage of cricket matches and MediaGroove which provides archived video content across various categories including politics, national, international, entertainment, among others.
