Chart Of The Day: Advance Tax e-Filings In India In 2010-11, By Bank

As per data retrieved by Medianama via a RTI, State Bank Of India stood first in terms of number of online filings of Advance Tax with 295,836 filings for the year 2010-2011. All in all, there were 1,410,588 advance tax e-filings for 2010-11. HDFC came second with 256,781 filings, followed by UTI Bank with 214,942 filings. The top three banks namely SBI, HDFC and UTI account for nearly 56% of the total online tax filings. State Bank Of Indore had the lowest number of Advance Tax e-filings with 175. ICICI Bank reported 76,808 advance tax e-filings.
