Today’s ‘Chart of the day’ is brought to you by E2E Networks Private Limited The number of broadband connections in India has increased by 208% since April 2008, whereas the number of wireless connections came down by 12.54%, albeit on completely different bases, but in absolute terms, the wireline base had declined by almost 5 million connections, while broadband base has grown by over 8 million connections. Still, India's steadily declining wireline base puts a reducing upper limit to the number of wireline broadband connections in the country. This is why India has to go wireless for broadband, and perhaps adopt mobile IPTV over wireline IPTV.
