BigAdda To Shut Down Social Networking Biz; Users Get Till July 15th To Download Data

Reliance ADAG owned social networking site BigAdda is rolling back its social networking business, and will focus on being an e-commerce business. I received a mail earlier in the day today, from BigAdda, informing me that I should download my personal collection of blogs, audio files, video files and BigAdda, since it is 'scaling down' (reads more like 'shutting down' if it is going to remove user data), the social networking business, and the data will not be available after July 15th 2011. That's a rather short timeframe within which BigAdda have to back up their data: I would say that at least a three month warning is in order here, if BigAdda has to be fair to its users (and if there are users). Quick question: is the curtain going to fall on Amitabh Bachchan's blogging career, after just 1168 days?  We'll update in case we hear from BigAdda. A call to Manish Agarwal, COO (Digital) at Reliance Entertainment, was not answered. Do see a copy of the mail BigAdda sent out below.
