GetIt Infoservices, the Delhi based classifieds business, has launched mobile sites for its Getit business directory and Free Ads classifieds services. The sites can be accessed by visiting m.getit.in and m.freeads.in on mobile phone browsers. Getit also intends to launch an SMS browser app for low end mobile phones, and native mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry and Symbian, in the next four to six weeks. Presently, Getit operates a 24 hour telephone based service on the number 4444 4444 and SMS based enquiry service on the short-code 5676722. It publishes business directories Getit Yellow Pages and Getit Bizlist. m.getit.in Getit claims that users will be able to serach and browse through 5 million business listings across 4400 different categories, including popular ones such as Restaurants, Hotels, Real Estate and Taxi Cab Services, for 550 towns and cities in India. We found that the site detects the user's location (City level) and displays results accordingly. Along with the telephone number and address, it also displays the listing's location on Google maps. m.freeads.in The free classifieds service has been extended to mobile with categories such as Vehicles, Real Estate, Jobs, Computer & Mobiles, Household items, and others. Search results can be refined on the basis of price, offered or wanted, recency, and whether the listing is from a business or an individual.
