Nokia Gets Life Tools On Vodafone, But Not Billing For Ovi Store

Another distribution channel has opened for Nokia Life Tools - the former "mobile solutions" company has inked a deal to offer offer SMS based subscription service package, covering agriculture, education, healthcare and entertainment content in rural and semi-urban markets to Vodafone customers in India. Nokia has similar deals with Tata Docomo, Reliance Communications. There appears to be a change in price for Vodafone - content for Agriculture, Education, Healthcare and Entertainment is being priced at Rs 30 per month, as compared to the RCOM and Tata Docomo deals, where there was differential pricing. This service is available on a range of entry-level Nokia handsets, in 11 Indian languages including Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada and Punjabi in addition to English.
