MagicBricks Launches WAP Portal

Times Business Solutions property listing portal MagicBricks has launched a mobile version of the site which has been customized for the mobile screen. The WAP portal can be accessed by keying in www.magicbricks.com in the mobile phone browser of a GPRS enabled handset. The portal lets users search for properties to buy or rent based on property type, budget, city, locality, bedrooms and property owner (individual, broker, builder). Details of interesting property listings can be then viewed from the mobile site and the concerned person can be contacted via SMS or phone call from the site. Users can send free SMSs to property owners from the site and also opt to receive free SMS alerts from MagicBricks. The MagicBricks Mobile site uses minimal graphics or design elements for faster loading on slow GPRS connections and has a tabbed browsing interface.  Users can refine results and sort them under different tabs. For example if one wants to see the property price trends in New Delhi, the site will sort the entire city into separate localities and list them alphabetically under different tabs. The price trends on the site are based on MagicBricks.com database of listings. In addition, MagicBricks Mobile also stores user search history and contacts that they have made in past sessions, for recall and follow-up.
