Even before the Mobile World Congress commenced, Samsung announced updated versions of its Android based flagship smartphone, Galaxy S and table, Galaxy Tab. The Galaxy S II will feature a bigger 4.3 inch AMOLED screen, dual-core 1GHz Prcessor, 8MP camera with 1080p video capture support and Android 2.3-Gingerbread, in addition to support for NFC (Near Field Communication) just like the Nexus S. Samsung's new tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 10.1 inch screen(the original Tab sported a 7 inch screen), is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and features the latest tablet-optimized version of Android, Honeycomb. Samsung has partnered wit Vodafone and the tablet is expected to go on sale this spring in 20 markets where Vodafone operates. The Android powered smartphone, due for launch in selected European and Asian markets, will also launch in the US markets through CDMA carrier Verizon Wireless. The phone features a slideout gaming keyboard with a digital D-Pad, distinctive PlayStation buttons and two analogue touch pads and shoulder buttons. Sony Ericsson also announced two other Smartphones in the Xperia lineup- the Xperia Pro and Xperia Neo. All the phones run on Android 2.3-Gingerbread mobile OS.
