Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd (TTML) has reported losses of Rs. 79.58 crore for the quarter ended December 31at 2010, down 21.02 percent from a loss of Rs. 100.76 crore reported for the same quarter last year. The company reported a decline in revenues: for the same period, revenues were down 1.71% to Rs. 584.72 crore. However, the results are not comparable with the corresponding quarter last year, since it booked Income from the sale of investment in its Tower Subsidiary 21st Century Infra Tele Limited to Wireless-TT Info Services. The company has reported an increase of 15% in EBIDTA both year on year and quarter on quarter, at Rs 135 crore, and 87% increase in Cash Profit Year on Year, and up 42% Quarter on Quarter. According to the company's Press release, its connection base reached 16.2 million during the quarter, a year on year growth of 41%. Probably given the festive season, gross minutes of usage of wireless service increased by 17% year on year. TTSL became the first operator to launch 3G in the Maharashtra circle. Revenues from Value Added Services and data card services (Photon, Photon+ etc) increased to 24.1% of total wireless revenues in the quarter.
