N Srinath To Be Tata Teleservices MD; Vinod Kumar To Tata Communications MD & CEO

[caption id="attachment_22292" align="alignright" width="100" caption="N Srinath"][/caption] Changes at the top at two Tata owned Telecommunications companies: N Srinath, currently MD and CEO at Tata Communications has been appointed MD and CEO of Tata Teleservices and Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), replacing Anil Sardana who has resigned, and is seeking a new responsibility in another Tata group company. Sardana will continue as a Director on board at Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), according to a statement from the company made to the stock exchanges. Srinath joins with 20 years of experience in the Tata Group, and had joined Tata Communications (VSNL) in 2002 as Director (Operations) when the Tata Group was selected as the strategic partner at the company. He was appointed MDr & CEO in February 2007 Vinod Kumar, a Director on its Board, has been appointed the new MD and CEO of the Tata Communications. Srinath will continue to be a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Tata Communications Ltd and some of its associate companies such as Neotel. [caption id="attachment_22293" align="alignright" width="100" caption="Vinod Kumar"][/caption]Kumar joined Tata Communications in April 2004, was closely associated with the acquisitions of TGN and Teleglobe, and had assumed responsibility as Managing Director of the company’s international operations. Subsequently, he was promoted as the Chief Operating Officer, and currently manages the Global Data Business Unit as well as the Engineering and Operations functions.
