Cephas Holding Corp, a US based developer of Android and iPhone applications is reportedly in talks for a joint venture with Embience Inc, a San Diego based mobile platforms company, an entity affiliated with Delhi headquartered Mast Mobile Media, according to reports in Wall Street Newscast (read this and this). The partnership is being explored with the objective of developing applications for the US market, and exploring business opportunities in India and South Asia. MediaNama has been unable to independently verify the development: we're awaiting a response to emails sent to Cephas, Embience and Mast Mobile Media, and calls to Mast Mobile Media's Delhi and Bangalore offices yielded no clarifications. Nimish Shrivastava is the founder of both Mast Mobile and Embience; the latter is the North American technical and distribution partner for Mast Mobile. Cephas develops mobile apps for mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters like Fedor and Silva, as well as flash based MMA widgets. It also has an equity stake in The Talent Network, a social network of modeling agencies. Mast Mobile Media has offices in Mumbai, Bangalore, and New Delhi, India. Embience and Mast Mobile have a Mobile Ad Exchange platform for CDMA and GSM carriers, an on-device Mobile Music Portal platform, with a media player, a Brand Builder platform for creation of applications, mobile portals and mobile promotions, among others.
