Disney Launches Online Store With Net Distribution

Disney India has launched an e-commerce portal, for selling Disney branded products, at ShopAtDisney. At the store are available over 600 authentic Disney Consumer Products, ranging from children’s apparel, footwear and accessories, toys and stationery to children’s home products, consumer electronics, home entertainment etc, with credit card and debit card payments. The launch has been timed keeping in mind the festive season, they’re allowing products to be gifted, and according to Disney, there will be no shipping cost till 31st December 2010.

This is the second such e-commerce initiative from Disney this year. In July, they had launched the Disney Movie Club, allowing purchase of movies online, with package deals – Mickey Gold (Rs. 3999), Donald Silver (Rs. 2999) and Goofy Bronze (Rs. 399) memberships.

ShopAtDisney is being powered by Net Distribution Services Pvt Ltd, which had inked a multi-year deal with Disney. Ndsl owns and operates exclusive online websites under license from principal brands: it’s stores, according to its website, include Tantra T-Shirts, SmartStars, CongoShongo, IndiaMags, BigPriceOff and Deals2Mint.
