Mobile data services company Motricity has inked a deal with Reliance Communications, according to a filing with the US' SEC. Motricity will offer its mCore Platform for managing content, marketing and commerce, build with a recommendation engine. The terms of the deal - the amount and the timeframe have not been disclosed. Most deals in India are on a revenue share basis, and not licensing. The deal comes as a precursor to RCOM preparing for its 3G launch, which is expected to take place before February 2011. This deal announcement comes a few months after Mohit Rampal, previously COO at Spice Digital, left to join the company as Managing Director for India and South Asia for Motricity.
