Professional networking site LinkedIn claims to have crossed 300 million registered users, up from 276.8 million users as of December 31, 2013, indicating that the company has added around 23.2 million users in about four months. LinkedIn however hasn't disclosed the number of active users on the platform or provided any region-wise breakdown, although it noted that United States accounted for 100 million of these members. India is the largest market for LinkedIn outside the United States, where the company claims to have more than 24 million registered users as of February 2014, adding more than seven million registered users in the last year. Contribution of Mobile: LinkedIn already witnesses more mobile usage than desktop usage in countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sweden, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates and it expects mobile to contribute for more than 50% of its global traffic later this year. In the previous quarter, LinkedIn had mentioned that mobile represents 41% of LinkedIn's overall traffic as of December 2013. LinkedIn also claims that it registers around 15 million profile views, 1.45 million job views and 44,000 job applications through mobile phones, across 200 countries.
