IndianYellowPages.Com has launched Dial4Trade service, which allows the buyers to call up a number, and get information on their requirement for desired Products or Location, business type like manufacturers, exporters, merchant exporters, importers or service providers. As is the case with many such services, the call center executive will offer the information as an SMS or an email to the customer. It some cases (we're not sure if this is true of IndianYellowPages) this buyer contact information is offered to the seller as a lead. Perhaps it's just easer to monetize on phone, with leads, as compared with just an online listing and search. This is in the B2B vertical, and can easily be emulated by businesses like IndiaMart, TradeIndia or Alibaba. But why not an international toll-free number? IndianYellowPages is using a Delhi based call center (+9111-46242233), and offers the service only between 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM. Not exactly convenient for a buyer in America, with the first three numbers as 911. This essentially emulates a consumer services model from JustDial. Several such services exist - Call Ezee (funded by Yahoo India), AskLaila, AskMe from Network18. MapMyIndia recently took a unique route to a similar business, by focusing on driving directions, but also offering local business information search. On this launch, Mr. S.K Gupta, Director of WeblinkIndia.Net said, with "Dial 4 Trade" service, we strive to make database sourcing faster and easier. We have quipped our systems and resources to respond in minimum possible time with maximum possible accuracy.…
