As a part of a rebranding exercise of Ronnie Screwvala promoted media company UTV, group company Indiagames, one of the largest games publishers and distributors in India, is being rebranded as UTV Indiagames. The registered name of the company will remain Indiagames Ltd. According to a statement released by UTV, "there is no change in the company's management, or operations and the shareholding pattern remains unaltered. The original logo of the Company will continue to be a trademark of Indiagames and used as appropriate from time to time." True Games, UTVs Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPG) company has also been rebranded as UTV True Games. Meanwhile, more importantly, Indiagames has inked a deal with Mobile Streams to distribute its mobile content through telecom operators and the mobile Internet. Mobile Streams’ content catalogue that has over 270,000 items from top content providers including Mr Bean and Happy Tree Friends, as well as World Cup 2010 content such as wallpapers, tones, video and games. This is a pretty significant move, because of the sheer amount of content which Indiagames will have at its disposal through Mobile Streams. Mobile Streams has partnerships with over 150 content providers, including Glu, EA, HBO, EMI, Disney Interactive Studios, Blue Sphere Games, I-Play, Warner Music Group, Universal, Getty Images, Paramount, Ohm:tv, among several others listed here.
