Harit Nagpal To Take Over From Tata Sky MD Vikram Kaushik

Harit Nagpal, currently Group Marketing Director at Vodafone PLC (LinkedIn), will take over from Vikram Kaushik as Managing Director of Tata Sky by the end of the year. According to an announcement from the Tata group, Kaushik, who led the DTH joint venture between News Corp owned STAR and the Tata Group since its inception, will retire on December 31, 2010. Nagpal will join Tata Sky in August 2010, in order to facilitate a smooth transition at Tata Sky.

Nagpal (LinkedIn) has 25 years of experience, over nine years of which have been with Vodafone: he has spent the last five months at Group Marketing Director with Vodafone PLC, and before that with Vodafone Essar (previously Hutch and Orange). During his stint at Vodafone Essar, Nagpal held a number of portfolios, including Marketing & New Business Director, before that Director Operations for the Mumbai circle. Prior to joining Vodafone, he was with Shoppers’ Stop as Head of Operations & Marketing, and has also worked with Pepsi, Marico and Lakme in the Sales, Marketing, Exports and Operations functions.
