Himanshu Gautam, National Head for Sales and Operations at HT Mobile Solutions, the joint venture between HT Media (Hindustan Times) and Velti PLC has joined Buongiorno, MediaNama had learned from multiple industry sources. Gautam has subsequently confirmed the move. He had been with HT Media for around two and a half years, initially as the Head of Mobile at HT Media. Prior to joining HT Media, Gautam had worked at Indiatimes for three years, and before that, three years at Reliance Communications. HT Media had formed a mobile market joint venture with LSE listed Velti PLC in November 2008, holding 65% in the venture, and operating out of Firefly's premises in Gurgaon, India. It's mobile marketing campaigns, we were told, went live in July 2009, but little is know of how the HT-Velti JV has been doing.
