QuippoWTTIL has announced that they will be acquiring 100 percent stake in Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited’s tower business 21st Century Infra Tele Ltd. (TFCITL). The transaction includes tower portfolio in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa.

2.5 Million Downloads In 30 Days For App Central

Airtel has announced that its app store AppCentral has seen 2.5 million downloads in 30 days. Basic phones that cost less than Rs 5000 and smaller cities like Surat, Pune and Udaipur are the most active.

Vodafone Launches ZooZoo Desktop Widget For IPL

Google Launches Orkut App For Android

Google has launched Orkut application for the Android platform. The app comes with a live folder for the homescreen with friends list which will allow users to call, scrap or SMS friends. Users can also upload photos directly from their Android phones.

DoT Recalls J S Deepak

DoT has recalled joint secretary J S Deepak, from the BSNL board. BSNL Launches Fibre – To – The – Home Broadband Service

State run BSNL has annouced the launch of Fibre – To – The – Home (FTTH) Broadband Service in partnership with Aksh Optifibre. 68 buildings have already been connected and 200 more are in the process in Jaipur. (Read more at MobiGyaan)
