Sri Lankan telco Dialog Telekom, has launched an Internet Radio service called Music Station, built on Geodesic's Mundu Radio platform for its six million subscribers. The platform will work across both 2G and 3G data networks and has a large number of licensed internet radio stations. It is designed to scale and allow unlimited channels to be added. Users can personalize playlist an also get lyrics of songs using the Lyrics tab. Software company Microimage have the license for the radio management platform and are also the content delivery platform for local content. Dialog Music Station will offer subscribers the ease of tuning into radio stations, streaming 24x7, and listen to music in a wider variety of genres. Mundu Radio supports Palm OS, Symbain, WindowsPalm OS, Windows Mobile Smart Phone Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Blackberry. Geodesic's Mundu Radio has also powered services from Idea and Tata Teleservices in India. The company had also announced that it had signed a MoU with Bangladeshi firm B2M Technologies to deliver the product to telecom operator Grameenphone. Another mobile product from Geodesic Mundu IM will now be available on iPhones, iPod Touch and iPad. The company has announced through a BSE filing that Mundu IM will now be available natively on the Apple iPhone OS platform. It is available for free download from the Apple iTunes AppStore.
