Ishwar Jha, the head of digital services at Essel group company Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) has resigned after over four years at the group, MediaNama has learned from reliable sources. At the time of filing this story, Jha was unavailable for comment; according to our sources he is planning to start up. Jha had founded Digital Media Convergence Ltd, the Zee Group's venture into digital entertainment in June 2006 and during a 2 year period as Chief Executive Officer, inked a partnership with BSNL partnership for Mobile TV, launched the entertainment portal Mypopkorn.com, and a digital content syndication for the subsidiary. His blog Ishwarjha.com makes no mention of his future plans, though he did Tweet that he is planning to relaunch himself; one is also tempted to read more into this tweet. Jha was unavailable for comment.
