Airtel To Outsource Management of Optic Fibre Cable Network , BSNL To Follow Suit

Bharti Airtel has invited bids for management of its 120,00 km plus of inter-city optic fibre cable network. The five year deal is estimated to be worth $1 billion. BSNL also is to invite bids for the same purpose in february. (Read more at The Economic Times)

Airtel Launches Caller Tune For Its Fixed Line Phone

Airtel has launched a caller tune for its fixed line phones called Family Tunes. The caller tune will be a pre recorded welcome message customised to the customer’s family name to greet callers. Airtel has a collection of more than 1000 most common Indian family names. There is a one time download fee of Rs 15 and a monthly subscription of Rs 30.

MTNL Bids For Acquiring Nigerian Telco

PC Sales To Go Up & Percent
