Solution Digitas has appointed Nandu Narasimhan as National Creative Director. Prior to Digitas he was the Executive Creative Director,Saatchi & Saatchi for the Delhi & Bengaluru branches. Narasimhan has also worked with Vyas Gianetti Creative (VGC), Lowe, TBWA, Contract and Grey.

Idea Cellular To Be Ready With Rs 9500 crore Ahead Of 3G Auction
Idea Cellular is looking to raise nearly Rs 6,000 crore from domestic banks and a little over Rs 3,000 crore through external commercial borrowings (ECB). The fund is being raised keeping in in mind the upcoming 3G auctions. There has been an approval from the company to raise up to Rs 9500 crore from current lenders. (Read more at The Economic Times)
AOL Launches New Site Powered By CarWale.com
AOL has launched an auto site powered by CarWale.com. This appears to be another one of those audience aggregation initiatives from services business, who tie up with portals to get a share of their traffic. NDTV had a similar partnership with CarWale.com, which appears to have expired in January. It was inked in January 2009. NDTVAuto.com isn’t accessible anymore (thanks for the update in the comments).
ZEEL TO Raise Ad Rates For GEC

Eros International Media is planning to raise up to Rs 350 crore with a intial public offering. The company has pre-IPO placement for Rs 20 crore. Walt Disney Co To Launch 3-D Television Network
Walt Disney Co has plans to start 3-D television networks for ESPN and Discovery Communications Inc following the success of Avatar. ESPN 3-D will start in June and broadcast 85 live events. Discovery, Sony Corp. and Imax Corp. announced a joint venture to introduce a 3-D channel in 2011. (Read more at BusinessWeek)
