Debadutta Upadhya Set To Join Vdopia As Country Manager

Debadutta Upadhya is set to join Vdopia as Country Manager. She has reportedly submitted her resignation at Yahoo! India where she is the National Sales Head. Debadutta has been with Yahoo for 6 years where she started as Account Manager in 2004. Prior to Yahoo! India she was with Times group for 8 years. (Read more at WATBlog)


Co-founder of MakeMyTrip.com, Sachin Bhatia is leaving the company to start out on his own. He will leave the company in about a month but will remain as a shareholder. Bhatia is looking at the e-Tailing space and another venture and will decide my March this year. He was head of marketing till 2008 for MakeMyTrip.com.He has also worked with Grey Advertising in Delhi and Mumbai and AMF Bowling Inc. (Read more at E4M)

Amit Somani has been appointed as Chief Products Officer for MakeMyTrip.com. Prior to MakeMyTrip he was with Google heading product management for Google AdWords Keyword Recommendations, Mobile Products and Search, Consumer & Infrastructure. He has also worked with IBM.

MakeMyTrip has appointed Mukesh Singh as Senior VP, Technology Department. Mukesh was responsible for search, sponsored links and payments products at Amazon India. Singh has also worked with Zoesis, eGain Communications, Sumtotal System and Timeline Studios. (Read more at ASIATravelTips.com)
