EBay India partners Reliance Entertainment's BigFlix For Movie Rentals BigFlix is providing movie rentals through Ebay India at a co-branded page hosted at Ebay.in, here. The full fledged launch of BigFlix's rental business took place last year in May 2008 as reported by Medianama. At that point in time the online movie rental business accounted for only 20 percent of revenues. A tie-up with ebay would help increase the reach for BigFlix' movie rental business - if not the rentals then at least from a branding perspective. Archie Comics In Hindi & Malayalam Archie Comics is soon to set-up its first international office in New Delhi. It will be producing its regular comics, to begin with, in Hindi and Malyalam. In the future more Indian languages will be introduced and the characters may even get an Indian touch. (more at The Economic Times) Idea's New Tariff Plan In Mumbai In what is yet another instance of telecom operators reducing tariff, IDEA Cellular has announced a new tariff plan for mobile users in Mumbai. According to the new plan, local calls will cost 40 paisa per minute, STD call per minute and SMS will cost 50 paisa on any mobile and landline network. Existing subscribers will need to recharge with a voucher of Rs.47 (validity one year)and new subcribers can get the reduced call rates from the first recharge itself.
