BIGFlix.com Ties-Up With Hulu; Monetization Through Ads

Bigflix.com will bring Bollywood movies to online video site Hulu, offering TV shows, movies and clips in the U.S. All the movies will have English subtitles so it appeals to others besides South Asians. On visiting, we noticed that BIG Flix has only delivered four movies so far: Gangster, Black Friday, Kalyug and Apaharan. The movies are complete and have English subtitles. They seem to have been up for a while now, reviews are 9 days old.

In a reply to a mail from Medianama asking about how they would monetize the views, BigFlix said that the movies would have pre roll, mid roll and post roll ads. They declined to disclose the revenue share model. Saavn had partnered with Hulu similarly a few months ago.
