19 Telecom companies from Israel will be visiting India with the The Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute, to meet telecom operators in the country, reports Globes Online. A year ago, six Israeli companies with the Israel Mobile and Communication Association, had visited India for a road show, and the IMA had also inked a deal with Shemaroo Entertainment for developing operator relationships in India. Little has been heard from the partnership since. Of the companies visiting India, the following are companies in segments that we find interesting: -- Sagarmatha: generates loyalty solutions for telecom operators by providing automated analysis of historical transaction data of individual consumers, creating an optimized set of offers that fit the consumer needs and the goals of retailes and telecom operators. It creates promotions for telecom operators and content retailers. Our Take on Loyalty Solutions: India appears to be enterting an era of increased customer churn, fuelled largely by cheaper and more innovative solutions being offered by the new telecom operators. Over the next year or so, as the land-grab of subscribers ensues, operators will realize that it's one thing to grab, quite another to hold on to subscribers.
