Networkplay has announced the addition of shopping sites to its advertising network. Six sites –,,,, and – have been added onto the network for advertisers, according to a release issued by the company. Backed by Capital18 and Goosefish Media Ventures, Networkplay has 30 advertisers and over 40 premium publishing partners. The firm already has news, travel, women, technology, social conversational media, business and health & wellness verticals on its network.

Networkplay launched a news category with ZeeNews in December.

In November, the company signed an exclusive agreement with Gawker Media, which publishes sites such as Gizmodo (gadgets), Lifehacker (software and productivity), Jalopnik (car enthusiasts), Kotaku (gaming) and Valleywag (Silicon Valley gossip). Gawker used Networkplay to target Indian surfers as traffic from India was growing 10 percent monthly.
