We had reported in July last year that dwaar travel had been rebranded as Bixee Travel. Dwaar did have local search, which bixee now lacks. Original Story: Ibibo owned Bixee.com appears to have added more verticals to its portfolio: Finance, Shopping andAuto. Bixee has Job and Travel Search, as well aggregators for Education, and Travel. Bixee's approach to search and verticals is similar to that of Sequoia Capital funded Guruji.com. China's TenCent Holdings owns a majority stake in MIH India, and consequently, Ibibo. Finance: following in the footsteps of Google Finance, and Guruji search, Bixee has added a finance search. While the interface for the segment is primarily search, Bixee has integrated a news aggregation, much like Google News, and ibibo's Q&A service Sawaal. We quite liked the stock comparison chart, and the fact that you can switch between multiple views fairly quickly. Compared to Google Finance and Guruji, Bixee Finance is fairly basic. What we found interesting is the loan search feature,which claims to provide the best deals for the day, for home loans, education loans, car loans and personal loans. Now, Bixee provides education search as well - we're wondering why the education loans feature hasn't been integrated with that yet. Bixee can do the same for the auto and shopping searches, and maybe also look at adding insurance into the mix.
