MySpace has launched a mobile application for the iPhone, and John Faith, GM & VP (Mobile) for MySpace told MediaNama that while the company is planning to launch the app in 12 different languages in 21 countries, they're focusing on English for India. There also isn't a timeframe for when MySpace will launch an Indian language application. To propote the application in India, MySpace is in talks with carriers. We know that both Vodafone and Airtel are planning to launch the iPhone in India this year, but Nokia remains the market-leader in India. Faith said that they don't have any plans for a Nokia/Symbian application yet, and for India, they're also focusing on the WAP offering.
