Facebook now has 2 billion registered users

Social networking site Facebook has crossed the 2 billion registered users mark on Tuesday. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, made an official announcement. The company, in a blog, said each day, more than 175 million people share a Love reaction, and on average, over 800 million people like something on Facebook. More than 1 billion people use Groups every month. The company added that it is launching personalized video to celebrate the userbase and these videos will appear on a users News Feed. Users will also see a message thanking them on their News Feed, if he/she will see a message reacts to a friends post, wishes them birthday or creates groups. The company will also be featuring fun facts about how people are contributing to communities and in the US, inspiring stores of people will be shared. All these can be accessed either through Goodaddsup or will be on the users news feed. For Q1-2017, total monthly users grew 17% year-over-year to 1.94 billion people, from the same period a year earlier. And year-on-year, daily active users in that quarter increased by 18% to 1.28 billion as per Forbes. As of March 2017, the company has 1.28 billion daily active users on average and 1.94 billion monthly active users as of March 31, 2017.
