In less than a year since it changed top level leadership, ecommerce company Flipkart announced a top deck reshuffle and has moved a group company structure. Accordingly, Tiger Global's Kalyan Krishnamuthy has been appointed CEO of Flipkart while Binny Bansal will be the Group CEO. BinnyBansal as Group CEO will be to oversee capital allocation across all the group companies, CEO selection and CEO compensation. This is Krishnamurthy's second stint working with Flipkart as was appointed as an interim CFO in 2013. In his new role, Krishnamurthy will be responsible for operationally driving Flipkart and will be responsible for the profit and loss. Categories, marketplace, customer shopping experience, private label and marketing will continue to report to Krishnamurthy. Nitin Seth, presently the Chief Administrative officer, will be the COO for Flipkart. In his new role, Seth will be responsible for Ekart and customer experience in addition to his existing role leading HR, strategy to execution capabilities and corporate functions for Flipkart. The engineering organization led by Ravi Garikapati will now report to Krishnamurthy. Ananth Narayanan will continue to be the CEO of Myntra-Jabong and Sameer Nigam will continue to the CEO of PhonePe. Krishnamurthy, Narayanan and Nigam will report to Binny Bansal. Flipkart Group is in the process of hiring a Group CFO and General Counsel and both of them will also report to Binny.
